Tears, anger, shock and sympathy at the killings in Nice last night at the Bastille Day celebrations. These acts are unfortunately becoming all too frequent but the French spirit will not be defeated.
Peace seems like such a naive pipe dream but I would love to live in a world where this was achievable.
Love to all my readers today. x
Love to you, too Megan.
I also don’t have any words, just contemplating our world with wide eyes and hoping I maintain composure and peaceful, compassionate thoughts and deeds on this and every day to come, no matter what they may bring.
Sending you a big hug,
Holly xo

The world grieves with you and for you. I often wonder how we as a global community got to this place and time seemingly forgetting the lessons of the past. Ugh. Much love to you and France!

The whole thing just makes me angry. These random acts of evil are just too much. These nuts always seem to find a way. Then they inspire other nuts. Ugh. I’m glad that once again you are far enough away from the event to be safe. Sending hugs to you.

Hi Poodle. Thanks for your kind thoughts. Everything was cancelled after it, even the fireworks scheduled for last night in Sainte Maxime were canned out of respect. Strange times we live in but yes it makes me angry too. xx

Unfortunately this all seems to be too commonplace…the new normal. It’s tragic, unthinkable and inexcusable. Sending love to you and others affected by this madness. xoxo

Hi Steve. i know that is the exact phrase I have been using, unfortunately it is becoming the new normal but it annoys me intensely that we even have to start thinking like that. Thanks for your thoughts xxx
