It’s awards season and that time to yet again check out the frocks, as well as the films of course.

My pick of the best frocks was Kirsten Dunst (nominated for Best Actress, Limited Series or TV Movie for Fargo) in her low-cut black vamped up Valentino gown.

Runners up :

Julianne Moore, dazzled in a divine long-sleeved blue dress from Tom Ford. 

Alicia Vikander (nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Ex-Machina and Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama for The Danish Girl) was angelic in pristine Louis Vuitton.

Cate Blanchett (nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama for Carol) looked softer than usual in an ethereal pastel pink Galadriel meets 1920’s look via Givenchy. 

And of course Ricky Gervais no doubt ruffled a few feathers, particularly Mel Gibson‘s!
