This perfume is a firm favourite. I adore patchouli in scent and Jacques Polge has created one of the best patchouli perfumes on the market with this creation. Coromandel is part of the Les Exclusives collection and can be found at Chanel and premium department stores.

Coromandel references the Chinese lacquered screens of which Coco Chanel was so fond. Although New Zealand readers may also think of the holiday region on the East Coast of the North Island.

This is a great comforting blanket of a perfume.  It’s cosy, long lasting and smells delicious. I love patchouli so this was always going to be a favourite.   Patchouli – tick. Benzoin – tick. Incense – tick. Chocolate – tick. These are a few notes I love in a perfume. They’re all present here in abundance. Wear this and snuggle up in a cashmere blanket that soothes and comforts, but not so much that it smothers you with love.
