Happy Monday : Scent Of The Day : Mini Review : Traversée du Bosphore : Sweet Turkish Delight

Happy Monday! After an action packed weekend I needed a touch of sweetness to get through today. Traversée du Bosphore from L’Artisan Parfumeur is a new purchase in the 15ml travel spray that is perfect for my requirements.  It’s also a guilt free purchase.

Traversée du Bosphore was inspired by perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour‘s travels to Instanbul – where East meets West. This is a gourmand scent with a light, dreamy sweetness. The candied effect comes from the apple, rose, sugar and a hint of pistachio. Iris and a twist of leather provide interest and complexity.

It’s fabulous to wear in summer and is one of those easy to love perfumes.  It always seems to be the right time to spray this at the moment. Traversée du Bosphore is simply delicious and if it’s too hot to gorge yourself on Turkish Delight, then this is the next best thing.

  1. I like TdB a lot and have a 10 ml decant, I can’t agree with your ” easy to love perfumes” definition of it. I think it has a very strange/difficult note or accord in it that one either loves or hates. I happen to love it but I can almost feel the controversy of this scent.
