Here’s Part 2 of the Italian road trip.  The first instalment on Genoa you can find here.  After Genoa we headed for Portofino for a quick look around.  It really was 50’s era pretty and we walked above the village on a small winding path with panoramic views.  Highly recommended.  We then had drinks and snacks at a bar that was on the pricy side but was full of beaten up old world charm.  I kept thinking of The Incredible Mr Ripley, the version with Jude Law, Matt Damon and Gwyneth Paltrow and imagined that I was part of the scenery.  The Italian Riviera did look fairly spectacular and I wouldn’t mind going back there for more of a peek and to get to the Cinque Terre at some stage. Here’s hoping.
