Scarlett Johansson has a new project.  She’s the vocalist in a band with one of the Haim sisters (Este), Holly Miranda, Kendra Morris, and Julia Haltigan. They’ve called themselves The Singles.

Whoops there’s another band with that name, so they’ve been served with a cease and desist order.   The debut single is called “Candy” and is produced by Dave Sitek from TV on the Radio.

“I love Grimes. And I love the Bangles. And I love the Go-Go’s. I wanted it to be like those bands: ultra pop but also a little ironic, a little in on the joke.”
