Hello readers! Here’s a chance to win a 5ml sample of a Serge Lutens perfume.
Instagram is by far my favourite social media platform. It doesn’t reveal too much, it’s low involvement and it looks great. It’s also a good way to meet people with similar interests. However I thought I’d start a Facebook page for the blog and see how it goes, so I set one up in the weekend. But suddenly I realised I needed people to like the page!
So this is a shameless plug to get Likes on my Megan In Sainte Maxime Facebook page by offering a draw for two people to win 5ml of perfume from one of my favourite perfume houses – Serge Lutens.
The specifics : Two people can win 5ml from a selection of my Serge Lutens perfumes. You can choose which perfume you’d like from the choices below. The sample will be a decant, not the 5ml miniature Serge Lutens bottle.
Choices are : Ambre Sultan, Jeux de Peau, Santal de Mysore, Santal Majuscule, Iris Silver Mist, Fourreau Noir, Bas de Soie, Vetiver Oriental, Tubereuse Criminelle or Fille de Berlin.
How to be in to win : Like my Facebook page AND leave a comment on it regarding which perfume you’d like to win, or your favourite Serge Lutens, or if you haven’t tried any just tell me your favourite perfume. You must leave a comment to be in to win as bizarrely Facebook doesn’t let me see all of my likes.

I simply cannot like you on Facebook because I am not on Facebook but if I were I would like you, swear to God. I’m not on instagram either although I’m considering checking it out one of these days. If I had to pick from your Lutens list I’d choose Fourreau Noir and one of the Santal’s I think. I have a few of the others. We have similar tastes other than Iris Silver Mist. That one is not on my favorites list.

Completely understand re Facebook reticence. Has taken me a while to come around to it again after being crazy about it a few years ago. Would recommend Insta though. You’re in the draw anyway Poodle! And good to know we have similar Serge taste. ISM grew on me and I have to say I love it now but when I first tried I thought it was one of the worst things I’d ever smelt.

If I were to win this can you surprise me. I have not liked some of Luten at certain times and then rediscovered them in others so a couple of suprise discoveries would be fun

I did my part in promoting the page – “liked” it there and twitted about this post – but do not enter me into the draw: if I drain any of the samples/decants of those SL from your list that I like I’ll go for a bottle.

Thanks Undina. I’ve read that you really like Boxeuses. That one sounds quite beautiful. I’ve tried the wax strip but not the actual perfume.

I do like Boxeuses (and have a newly acquired bottle to show for it). But I also like at least several other Luten’s perfumes – from your list: Ambre Sultan (bottle), Jeux de Peau (decant), Santal Majuscule (d), Iris Silver Mist (d), Vetiver Oriental (d) and Fille de Berlin (mini). I also have a bottle of De Profundis, Chergui and Fille en Aiguilles.
You should try to get a sample of Boxeuses to try on skin: I’m sure it’ll smell different from what you’ve experienced from the wax sample. Sorry but with all the mailing restrictions I can’t offer to send you one.

Your Serge taste has a lot of cross over with mine. I love Chergui and Fille en Aiguilles as well but haven’t tried De Profundis yet but suspect that I’ll probably like that too. I get on very well with Serge – one of my favourites. Not as keen on the l’eaus and didn’t care for L’Orpheline that much but hoping I may get on with La Religieuse. It’s not too difficult to get hold of a sample for me but I’ve slowed down ordering them as I realise I’ve got so many that I’ve never even tried yet. And the wax samples are good for an approximation but they can only offer a taste I think.

Not a fan of Jeaux de Peau. Love Bais de Soire :Vetiver Oriental & Ambre Sultan. Very curious to try Tubereuse Oriental. This is fun!!
